@Carl Mathis I have asked him what his plans were and he replied by saying he wanted to stay long term. I have been very careful with all the legalities and in no way trying to discriminate as i feel he would be a great fit. I just wanted some input from investors with more experience.

Hey everyone, I'm a Rookie investor currently screening potential tenants. Correct me if I'm wrong or even call me out on it but I'm having a hard time with this one. There is person that stands out from the rest. He is 67 years old a local business owner who makes 3x the rent and receives social security payments every month. He received good references from previous landlords and personal ones as well. He has a good credit score, and a clean criminal background as well. Everything checks out good but I'm having a hard time because of his age. What are your thoughts? I'd like to hear the thoughts of more experienced investors. Thank you in advance.

@kyle j.  Thank you for your input. Im a rookie investor feeling a bit nervous. I just finished up a project and now that im ready to fill the unit im feeling a bit nervous due to way things are going in California. Your absolutely right though in terms of screening thoroughly.

Is there anyone on here that has rental properties in Southern California? Are you still comfortable renting your units or properties out despite the eviction monetorium thats in place? Thank you in advance.
