@Darius Ogloza Hi Darius, it was the purchase of a townhouse in NY. I was told later on that it was pre-foreclosure.

@Louis Adimando I am new at this and thought this was the type of issue my lawyer would bring to my attention. Shouldn’t she have discussed this with us?

Hi so I’m living and learning, while sitting in the lawyers office for closing I asked if any taxes were owed and the representative for the seller said “Well they’ll be paid now” and held up the check. Now I received a letter from the Supreme and County Court, addressed to Resident titled “Notice of Court Conference in Residential Foreclosure Mitigation Action” Are we responsible? Any advice? Shouldn’t our lawyer have protected us from this?

Hello, I am thinking of investing in a property in Glens Falls for less than $100k. I’ve already seen a 3 bedroom for 90k. Does anyone know if it looks promising that the home values in this neighborhood will be increasing? Is it worth it to buy here? Are there a lot of renters?
