Well the "Why" is, if the odds are looking like there's going to be a slowdown (maybe not everywhere, but generally speaking) do you act or just power forward doing the same thing. Not saying your method is stupid, just curious on the general consensus of like-minded investors.

What is everyone's gameplan for the looming recession? I know employment numbers look good, stock prices look good, home prices look good... but they all look good until they're not. I'm not trying to predict anything but this bull market from the lows of 2009 is now almost 10 years old. We're overdue, there is NO arguing that. So... how have your real estate investment goals changed over the last 5 years?

Are you still willing to buy a cash flowing property while staring down a 10-year-old bull market?

If you're raising capital, how much are you raising?

Is anyone here a net seller of real estate... LIKE THE CHINESE ARE DOING?

Let's talk, no magic predictions, just actions!

Hey @David Cahill exactly, I didn’t word that quite the way I wanted to but yes I think I am going to start shopping around for a new policy. Was just sort of curious if there was an easy apples to apples comparison but sounds like probably not. Thanks!

Where in Everett is it? I always keep my eyes peeled over there cause I'm in Medford and it'd be nice to have something close by but I'm just never able to find anything that's either in an area I like or where the numbers work. If you're living there, you're kind of in a good place between having good shopping plazas nearby, highways, the new casino, if you're able to live for free (in this market especially) it's a good deal in my opinion.

Hey all,

Is anyone willing to share what they're paying for insurance on triplexes in the Boston area, specifically the 02124 zip code? I put an offer in on a 3br/1ba condo in Dorchester and the HOA was run pretty horribly, I just am wondering if there might be room to save money on what the building is paying for its insurance.

Thank you so much!

Christian

Hey @Doug Danoff welcome! I'm quiet on here, mostly a lurker but I live nearby in Medford right off Salem St. close to Medford Sq. Homeowner in this area, and I own one property in Dorchester, and hopefully closing on another in that same area of Ashmont sq. in the coming weeks.

Best of luck! Bigger Pockets has been a huge help for me.

Hi @Wayne Brooks I can see why it looks like that, however that’s dead center of one of the 5x2 pieces. FYI the sod is a bluegrass fescue blend from what they told me.

Just wanted to check back in here...

So one section of these browned areas, when I inspected it more closely, the grass is literally peeling away from the ground. I'm no expert, but I'm thinking just more watering isn't going to solve this. Here is a photo to see what I'm talking about. Can anyone properly diagnose what is happening here?
