I’m currently in the escrow process for my first rental property. I was wondering what type of homeowners insurance should I be looking for, what should I have cover? I also live in Texas where homeowners insurance is one of the most expensive in the nation.

Was wondering what could be the best way of funding a rehab project. Would saving cash, getting a loan, or using credit be one of the best options? The home would be use as a rental property.

Hello BP I’m wondering if I could get any tips for my first rental property located in Houston, Tx. The property is being sold as is with Section 8 tenants still living in the property. Current tenants have been living there for 23 years. I’m looking to buy and hold the property with a 30 year fixed rate loan.

@Simon Dean Keep shopping I believe interest rates are ranging from 4.0%-4.8%. That is of course with a 30 Year Fixed Mortgage rate.
