Post: LVP Brand Recommendation

We recently rehabbed our home and purchased a LVP brand called Naturally Aged Flooring from a local supplier (https://www.naturallyagedfloor...). It was a little more than the Home Depot options but the wear layer is thicker so better durability. It took us eight months to settle on the option we chose so we've definitely been around the block in our search! Lumber Liquidators also has some good options if you have one in your area.

It may be worth it to check with some local suppliers - the one we ended up going with was incredibly knowledgable about his products and was able to work with us on pricing. He actually waived the tariff increases that had occurred right before we purchased because I was pregnant with our first baby.

We were initially looking for a darker wood but after using a dark laminate plank in a flip home we realized how easily darker woods show dirt. So we ended up with a lighter option and I'm so glad we did! Really happy with how it turned out - it looks natural and there aren't huge color variations like a lot of current options.

Good luck in your search!

I know this was originally posted over a year ago but figure if you're still in real estate you can always use a good source for cabinets. We purchased some from www.thewcsupply.com for a home we flipped to ourselves and are really happy with them. Lowe's quoted us $13-15k for the same layout we ended up purchasing through Wholesale Cabinet Supply for $6k. They're wood cabinets (plywood frames) including the soft close feature. They come fully assembled and will replace any that are damaged during shipment or were constructed improperly at no additional charge. You can also apply for a pro account and receive an additional 10% off.

Hey Victor!

Wow - I'm sure we all wish we had discovered this path in life a lot sooner so kudos to you! Setting a goal of buying a multi unit and living in a portion of it while you rent the rest would be a great way to get started. Getting connected at a local REIA will also aid you in finding mentors and team members. Start asking questions and learn what you can from anyone that is willing to give you the time. Once you're ready to get started you'll have a wealth of knowledge that you can put to work. If you're looking for a mentor specifically figure out a way you can add value to what they're doing. People will be more willing to work with you if you have something that you can contribute to the goal/vision they are trying to reach. To stay motivated listen to podcasts, stay connected on Bigger Pockets, go to REIA events, read books... keep immersing yourself in the real estate world and surround yourself with people who share the same passion. A business book that may help you during this stage is "So Good They Can't Ignore You" by Cal Newport.

Good luck as you start the journey! :D
