@Miranda Micire it is in the Sheraden neighborhood.  Thanks for the info...I'll look up the council member and contact them.

@David Lee Hall, III That is amusing!  According to street view and my tenant, this house is still standing.

Thanks guys.  Tax records indicate non payment for years.  I would think there is a lien by now, but no indication of an auction at this point.

There is an abandoned property next to my rental that has vegetation that is so overgrown you can't see the house.  A tree is so overgrown it knocked down my fence and the roots are invading the yard.  The property has attracted several families of raccoons that are throwing trash all over their property and mine.  Anyone have a recommendation for a Pittsburgh city official to contact?

Hi Josh,

I am also a buy and hold investor looking to make new connections, particularly for reliable contractors.  Thanks for the post.

Thanks...sounds like there are better options.  I contacted a few brokers and will go from there.

I'm paying $1100 for insurance on my investment property in the atlanta area.  $160k rebuilding costs coverage with $1million/$2million liability coverage.  Am I paying too much?  Should I seek out an insurance broker?

I am in the process of purchasing a portfolio of 3 properties each of which has a loan value of less than $50k, making it difficult to find a lender.  Can anyone make a recommendation for a local lender/credit union that may be able to help?

I am in the process of purchasing a portfolio of 3 properties, each of which has a loan value of less than $50k.  I am looking for a bank in the Pittsburgh area that will handle loans this small or any other advice on how to finance.  I'm also considering a cash-out refinance, but would be inclined to take out new mortgages if the rates make sense.  I'm thinking the process of cashing out may take too long.
