My question or main concern is using our single family to acquire an income producing property. I really want a 4 plex but a double to start out will do. Im going to get with a loan officer and real estate agent and go from there.

Just last night I had a call with an investor in Colorado Springs who built his portfolio up to 50 units - there are definitely experienced investors in your area!

The other huge benefits are that your network will open up off-market opportunities for you, as well as investors/sources of OPM.

Me and my wife are looking to sell or pull equity out of our only single family property that we currently live in. I been trying to get into real estate for years and this seems like a good time. I would also like to get a multifamily property. We have talked about using our home to purchase a rental property but realize we may need help.
