Hey guys, so I’m currently in Portland Maine and I love it. Would love to learn more about the short term rental or rental market in general in this area. If anyone has any information or resources, please let me know.

@Justin Lugo hi Justin, welcome to the BP community! If you look on the app meet up you’ll be able to find some. I know there was one last week in Montclair, NJ by the Brick x Brick group and there is another in west orange every Wednesday! I have not been to either, but two options for you!

@Jonathan Greene yes, that has been the part I've been having trouble with. As soon as property comes on the MLS, they're gone within a week. I've been looking for off market deals, but haven't had luck yet.

I am just curious to hear others success story in Montclair, NJ with either multi-family or SFH in this area. I've been looking at multi-family homes but numbers just don't seem to work. I would love to hear your success stories and connect with any of you guys!

-Thanks in advance

Hey guys, so I’m just curious. I’ve been looking into buying a multi family unit and trying to keep my down payment low. I’ve run into the problem with Conventional loan product requiring 15% down....are there any other products to get around the higher barrier of entry? I do not qualify for other fthb programs because my income is too high (what I was told)
