Don't know much about the inspectors in Cincinnati area? I've heard pillar to post is great but didn't know if any other good ones for a decent price. Hoping to keep it to 3 or 4 hundred.

@Chris Collins yeah I've been in Covington out with friends but didn't know much about the surrounding living area so that's great insight! I know a decent amount about the Butler County area and am being pitched deals on the east side of Hamilton but know the area can be rough, so knowing that I'd see the same thing in Covington is great to know. Where do I go to inquire about city funding like that, I've heard of the same thing for Hamilton. Thanks for all the info!

Josh, it just seemed like I could find some 2 bedroom SFH that were move in ready with some very nice interior work in the fifty to sixty thousand range. The places I'm looking to invest have almost no inventory in that price range, especially not move in ready. But thanks, I figured there wasn't much flipping to be had.

Jake, thank you for the information on Covington and Newport. The properties I was talking about are further south so that makes sense. Bellevue I only know because of the sign I see on the highway driving south through Kentucky so thanks for shedding light on that area. That property sounds great but I'm just starting up and my capital is too low for that. I'm living with my sister after flipping my last residence and am trying to lock a duplex in Northside right now.

I'm familiar with a lot of the cities on the Ohio side in Cincinnati and upon a tip I started looking in Bellevue, Covington, and Newport in Kentucky. Covington seems to be a great place to buy and hold with little to no remodeling. I've heard good things about Covington I'm just trying to figure out why the housing is priced so low.

@Jake Walroth it's been one of my favorite cities to hang out in, definitely under the radar in my opinion. OTR is nice too but out of my price range... For now

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the Bigger Pockets family. Originally from NW Indiana but been living in the suburbs of Cincinnati for about 9 years now. Been studying the game for three months now and am getting into my first deals. Looking at owner occupying multi families to start in the Northside or Spring Grove area and I am an active member of the REIAs in the area. Anyways, good luck to all and let 2019 be a prosperous year for all!
