Hi Everybody

I'm Chris Langston. I'm new to real estate investing though not new to business or other types of investing. I have been a new custom home builder since 1991 (other peoples homes other peoples money) in California.

Im in Virginia now adapting to a totally different environment. At present I am still working for home owners but am compelled to break out of that mold and start rehabing my own projects, and begin a buy and hold strategy on properties with positive cashflow.

I've been studying different methods of getting started and stumbled on this site by accident. I have found the posts to be very informative and greatly appreciate everyones input.

Hey Bruce
I appreciate you putting up this thread, I stumbled onto this site and have found alot of helpful information.

I have been contemplating getting started in wholesaling, and fix & flip for a month now, I've been doing as much homework as I can and have a pretty good grasp of the concept. Lead generation is key in my mind to establishing a profitable venture, but I could probably use some help with structuring my business correctly as well. My concern is finding the most cost effective strategies to accomplish these tasks.

I am a contractor in NOVA, & DC. I'd love to find people in the business to network with.

Thanks again for your time,
Chris

These are great posts. I too am thinking of getting into the wholesale market but have wondered if its a waste of time. Like anything else it has to take work, skill, and determination, but the guru's out there talk it up like Anyone can do it. I'll call BS on that. If it were that easy everyone Would be doing it (within market constraints). I was a new home builder in California (since 1991) but got wiped out a few years ago, I am now a contractor in the DC metro area, would love to find some investors to network with and start building a real business.
