Thanks, @Brandon Schlichter. I'm assuming the brokers night at Hondros? I'll be going to the next one then.

@John Horner Awesome story and I enjoy reading your posts on here.

I live north of Columbus in Delaware, do you buy houses up here or in Powell or Lewis Center? I launched a website for SEO and am putting together a DM campaign working with a budget similar to yours when you first started. My goal is to find deals and send them to you!

Hello!

I finished classes at Hondros in Westerville and am ready to take the exam to become licensed, but I need a sponsor. My only goal is to find deals for the serious investors in Columbus, Ohio (like John Horner). I have money saved for the MLS and Realtor dues for the year as well as a marketing budget and have launched a website for SEO and am working on a DM campaign.

All I need is a sponsor. I have contacted BuildRealty, Ownerland and Transaction Realty as the flat-fee brokers seem to be a good fit for what I want to do, or does anyone have a suggestion for an investor friendly brokerage that might be interested?

Thanks!

If I just focus on the Crammer books from Hondros will that be good enough to pass the tests the 1st time? Or did anyone find the in class crammer course and/or online Compucram prep to be especially helpful?

Thanks Tristam!

I actually did sit down and speak with KW up here in Lewis Center, as I was very interested in the education they provided and they seem to get a ton of recommendations on here. However, the main reason I am getting my license is for my own deals - staying legal, access to the MLS, etc. She said that KW probably isn't the place to be if becoming a traditional agent isn't my main priority. Maybe it was just their office?

I will be finished with my classes at Hondros in October and would like to hang my license with an investor friendly broker. At this time I am not interested in becoming a traditional agent. I saw some recommendations for OwnerLand Realty, Transaction Realty and reached out to a few members.

Anyone else have a recommendation?

Thanks!
