The sub should have a beef with the thief, not you. If you can find the thief, sue him.

In my experience, if someone goes out of their way to say that, they're pretty bad. (Please don't cancel me)

Hi,

I know markets and economic conditions- thought not necessarily circumstances- are cyclical. And the last decade or so has benefited RE investors because of the low rates and there's been a surge in RE investors over that time. My question is if anyone here was investing from before the 08-09 era where rates weren't as favorable as they have been since AND if so, how do you think this "new normal" in rates is going to affect the fix-and-flips or BRRRR strategies?

I know it's an ignorant question, but it's been a burning one on my mind.

Thanks!

@Alfath Ahmed I wouldn't say they're trying to "trick" you. I do think the horrible communication is enough to fire them, though. Just reading about this is making me mad. 🤣🤣🤣

Quote from @Drew Sygit:

@Chris LumLee that's pretty negative about Detroit!

Someone could say that about the bad areas of any city in the country.

You might want to follow the "Deep Dive" series we're doing on our BiggerPockets blog about Metro Detroit cities, City of Detroit Neighborhoods and comparing Metro Detroit to other hotspots investors usually consider:

(BP search feature can be problematic, so we’ve also added links @ our website under View Cities & Neighborhoods We Service)

I'm a total cynic on Detroit. ...Not knocking on the people there (in general) or anything like that- and definitely acknowledging that there are some beautiful areas there. But I had a HORRID experience there that made me blow a gasket.
