@Jason Zullo Thanks So much for sharing…. I will share some of my research. The consensus seems to be that you can get a lot of the information by exploring Bigger Pockets offerings such as downloads and podcasts, plus reading posts and asking questions. There was a two year old post about the local meetings, inc. REIA, FB, TXREIC, Lifestyles Unlimited, etc., that noted that the success of any of the paid mentoring program depends a lot on who you get. Some are telephone sessions rather than face to face, which I prefer. Hope that helps. Thanks Again.

@Teri Feeney Styers  Thanks. I thought of that, but it does not 'fit' the town home.  Argh.

Hello all, I need a contractor, or maybe a carpenter, and a drywaller to install a 4'x2' ish closet with a rounded corner in West Plano close to Legacy and tollway.  Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Matt M.

T. Fejiro K. - if you liked it, please share your experience. I would love to have my attitude toward their website turned around.

I checked out FortuneBuilders. NEVER AGAIN. The site hijacked my computer. It won't allow me to delete it. It keeps popping a window up asking for my locations. It's horrible. Anyone else had these issues? How do I block the site?

Office hours are until 6PM Pacific Standard Time. I am Central. They are 2 hours behind me so the message should not say the office is closed.

I left message but, in the meantime, I am stuck.

Hello,

Is the return worth the work? We've been told we could get a good return on adding it for resale, but I have concerns because I want to be smart about this small closet addition.

Should we consult a designer, architect or space planner or??  We would appreciate recommendations for the Plano, TX area in the town north of Dallas.

Townhome in popular area near a multitude of corporate HQs, major tollroads; catering to a largely executive market, young couples or single people. It is was sold as a 3 bedroom but the 3rd bedroom does not have a closet.

Imagine a room 10'3" by 11'8". Within this square is a 24"D x 36"W section that juts into the room that takes away space. The 30" french door is catty corner to this.

There is also an odd, tiny area that adds storage. It does not take away space from the room. This nook is 19"W x 25" deep.

How big of a closet can we add to this? The first thought is to mirror the 24" by 36". This leaves only enough room for a twin or full size bed on the opposite wall. The new closet would be on the same wall as the 30" french doors. This wall is 10'3". When you walk in, it is 11'3" to the double window. Should we go smaller than 24x36"?  I know it has to be at least 24" deep.

As always, thanks in advance.

Chelle K.

@JeremiahStephen  Thanks for your valuable insights on tenant screening.

Also, I agree that I need good people around me and am trusting that BP is going to be invaluable for me and other newbies.

I wish you all the best in your endeavor, too. Great idea!
