The areas you mentioned are the primary ones, as well as the benches along much of the rest of the Wasatch front. I’ve seen it in rural areas for class A properties, gated communities and such, mostly in Summit County. The mountainside up above Jordanelle had this done on virtually every house. We worked with a contractor doing very large homes in the area. You could try contacting one of them.

No idea on price but it’s frequently done in the area. Grew up in Salt Lake and have seen some crazy mountain builds.

Hello everyone, I am a new real estate investor from Malad. I wish to get started in the local market, as well as in Pocatello. I’m planning on BRRRing some cheap houses or duplexes to get my feet wet and begin to build up my portfolio. I’m also interested in BRRRing for STRs in the Lava Hot Springs area. I want to find my own deals (with standard mortgages) to start. Does anyone have experience in these areas? Am I up in the night? Any tips would be appreciated.
