Jade, this is a great FAQ resource for newbies like myself who are looking to break into REI. Thank you for posting!

Ernest, wow! Congratulations to you, my fellow pinoy. Your hard work and determination has paid off and you've inspired me to make good on my 2019 goal of purchasing my own very first rental investment property. Where did you live when you were in Hawaii? I'll be messaging you soon, congrats again!

@Chad Quillopo haha I knew I recognized you! Well buckle in, Jin and I filmed a ridiculous VLOG style video yesterday that should be up in two weeks...good times!

Just saw your $1,000 challenge on your website. I like your strategy, doing your best GaryVee flipping impersonation! Saw that you're planning to move back to the mainland in the summer. Where to next?

@Chad Quillopo Sounds great brother, feel free to come to our meetup anytime! first Tuesday of every month at Kailua Beach Park (though it is quite the drive). There are a lot of guys on the island that invest mainland. One of them, @Lane Kawaoka , is a big Syndicator and hosts a lot of meetups too. Lots of awesome people to network with on this island.

Hi David, thanks for connecting! I've recently started following Lane and joined one of his email lists. Still trying to sift through everything on his website, lots of great content to go through. I also follow you on Instagram and have contacted you about your Beta that you're planning. I attended that Westside meetup because Jin was kind enough to invite me to it. I like watching your driving for dollars adventures with Jin. Very entertaining.

Aloha, I'm Chad. I live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I currently work for the Four Seasons Oahu at Ko'Olina. I have always been intrigued by real estate, but only recently have I dug into my interest in becoming an investor. I will be 30 in February. I decided that it would be quite fitting to celebrate my 30th year of life by finally purchasing my first piece of real estate.

Baseball is currently my biggest passion. Unfortunately, Hawaii doesn't have a professional team. The number one item on my Bucket List is to watch a game at every team's stadium. A lot of my desire to succeed in real estate is to be able to travel and watch more live baseball. I also really want to be able to give more Time, Talent and Treasure to organizations that utilize baseball as a vehicle for social impact.

I have begun my real estate education with the usual reading of books/posts and listening of podcasts. I went to my first REI meet up back in November and I'm looking forward to the ones coming up soon.

I'm looking to break into REI with a rental property, most likely out of state (even though this is ill-advised). Once I become more experienced I see myself learning to fix and flip maybe a house a year to supplement the rental income. To start the new year I will work on nailing down my personal finances and trying to save up as much as I can. I will be researching which target market(s) are right for me. One that currently stands out to me is Atlanta, GA (and not just because the Atlanta Braves are my favorite baseball team).

My biggest challenges will be learning to analyze deals and mustering up the courage to continuously network. Seeing as these are the backbones of real estate investing, I have my work cut out for me. I'm up for the challenge. Besides, I've already put my goal on the internet; it's permanent, I must achieve it!

Do you have any properties within a 5 mile radius of SunTrust Park?

@Brian K. Congratulations on your first booking! Do you have a link to the listing that you can post?

What made me think of Cooperstown? I'm a big baseball fan, played almost my entire life. I visited Cooperstown for the first time this past July for Chipper Jones' induction into the HOF (yes, sorry, I'm a Braves fan). I did a sports travel tour that took us into town for a couple days and fell in love with the small town feel and baseball heaven. I went the tour route after having trouble finding accommodations for that weekend.  I wanted to capitalize on the Dreams Park and HOF markets. Is your booking for Induction Week?

Aloha Brian. I'm really glad you posted this because I'm very interested in the Cooperstown vacation rental market. Unfortunately, there isn't much posted about Cooperstown on BP. I'm looking forward to following your experience with this property. If you would, please share more details.

Hey Zach! Your Fantasy Castle sounds very promising, I can't wait to see the full build out and listing on BP/AirBnB.

Hey @Jin Lim! Thanks again for bringing me out to the meet up on Wednesday! This sounds like a great idea and I can't wait to see the first episode! I love listening to the Deal Deep Dives on the podcasts.
