Thanks Everyone! I will check it out and let you guys know how it went.

Just a side note, I'm not only looking in NY, but also in NJ. I'm assuming most of the methods apply regardless of state, are there any NJ newspapers and/or websites that you can recommend?

Greatly appreciate it!

I want to attend a local foreclosure auction, just to get more familiar with the foreclosure process. Does anyone know how to find a local real estate auction that I can actually attend? I tried google, but all I found was online bidding.

THanks in advance!

Hi,

I've heard a lot about "dry closings" and "wet closings", but what exactly are they??

Thanks!

Thanks for your input! I was just curious about the content of the seminar (aside from selling their products), because there are always some good free info.

yes, I've seen that thread, but that thread didn't answer any questions.

I still don't know what the seminar covered, and the quality of it.

Any info would be gladly appreciated.

THanks!

Hi,

Anyone been to the Zack Childress's seminar last month in NJ? Or attended any of his, at all? How was it??

I heard that he taught how to wholesale REOs in that seminar and we can just follow his system and do it by ourselves (even if we don't buy his MLS Guerrilla software)?

Is this true?

Thanks!

Hi Sam,

What did the 4 day seminar cover? Was it useful?

I've heard people say that they've learned the complete run down of how to wholesale REOs, is it true?

And I've heard that they can just start wholesaling REOs with this information, was it really that comprehensive?? Did they go over contracts as well??

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thank you Jon and Deuce! Just to make sure that I understand, did you mean that:

1. a double closing = AB close first (with transactional funding or hard money), then BC closes with C's money and I get a check for my fee?

2. Simultaneous closing = C's money will be used to fund both transactions AB and BC, and after AB closes, I go to a different closing where I can get paid my fee, right? Or are there necessarily 2 transactions (AB then followed by BC?)?

3. back-to-back closing = ? I'm not sure, is it just like simultaneous closing?

I've thought that different terms refer specifically to different closing techniques, because it they are the same, why have different terminologies for it? I learned my lesson when I thought that bird-dogging and wholesaling are identical, when in fact they refer to completely different things.

Thank you in advance! Your help is greatly appreciated :)
