Greetings all,

My name is Cameron. I am new to the North Austin area, and looking to purchase some rental property. I have already received a pre-approval letter. I need a recommendation from someone who lives in/near any of the areas in the subject line. What I'm asking from the community is to help me find a real estate agent I can trust that will work with me as an investor, and help me find motivated sellers in the 140k-180k range. Finally, anyone that could recommend a property management company, that does good thorough work would be greatly appreciated. Please don't hesitate to send me a private message and drop names/numbers. My time is limited and valuable and I will treat everyone else's as such.

Thanks in advance,

-Cameron-

Thank you gentleman for the feedback. Those are all valid opinions with insightful reasons as to how you would handle it. I understand the upside to choosing the better solution based on interest rates. However, I feel it fits my personality better to pay everything off before I jump into more debt, business or personal. Also Ryan, choosing to view debt in 2 categories seems like a great way to handle finance, thanks for the tip. And thank you all for welcoming me to the community. Gregory-When I finally get the ball rolling on all of this, I plan on looking into the Round Rock area of Austin for my first purchase, just as a heads up. I may be half a year out from realistically being able to do any business. But I will remember this conversation when it comes time to choose an agent in the area.

Greetings Everyone!

My name is Cameron Vigil. I am from Amarillo Texas and am currently traveling on the road working as a Utility Inspector on the pipeline. I plan on using the money I make to finance buy-and-hold real estate deals in the Austin, TX area, where I one day plan to settle down at.

My first question to the community is,

Do you think it is a good idea to pay off my remaining student loan and vehicle debt before jumping into the world of real estate? Being a fan of Dave Ramsey will give you an idea of where my head is at. However, I am open to hearing arguments from both sides of the fence.

Good to meet you all,

Cameron Vigil
