Hi @Brad Hammond

Thank you for the recommendation! I've reached out to Shawn Morgan and hope to hear back soon. Also, greatly appreciate the lead on Multifamily NW. My wife and I are no lawyers and it's been daunting determining which lease to use as a foundation. I'm looking though their site now.

Thanks, David! Yes, I’m currently looking for one but appreciate the advice nonetheless. I’ve also read the horror stories and want to get ahead of it.

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

My wife and I are born and raised in Portland Oregon and just started our REI journey. This past August we acquired our first rental property and inherited long term tenants along with an existing lease. With the existing lease set to expire soon, we're now looking to introduce a new lease that is more inline with how we want to manage the property. That being said, we are on the hunt for legal advise and hope to add an attorney to our team. There's a lot of "we don't know what we don't know" so we want to "know what we don't know" 😁

Any recommendations for real estate attorney’s would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Billy Cha

Thanks for sharing your experience. Can you please elaborate a little bit more on how you negotiated down the price of the house once under contract? Did you leverage things that came up from inspection?
