@Julie Kim If it's priced right you shouldn't have a problem at all renting it out pretty quickly.

@Chad Mayo I'm renovating two houses in Central right now and didn't need to hire a GC. I did have to get a building permit as the owner though. All my subs (electrical, plumbing, hvac) are pulling their own. So far I haven't had any issues and it's getting inspected like a contractor's does.

@Angela Cobb Welcome to BP. This is a great place to learn! I'm in Baton Rouge as well. I would recommend the RING as well. It's a local meetup that meets on Siegen Lane once a month.

When finding out about a foreclosure is it inappropriate to knock on their door and talk to them instead of a yellow letter or calling them?

Lol Bryce Till exactly! Paying off would be a huge breath of fresh air for me as that would be one less bill to pay and extra $$ to use to invest with. Then on the other hand I could use the leverage to do some serious investing.

@Leigh Ann Smith My rate is currently 4.5%. I keep bouncing back and fourth on paying off or investing.
