Hi guys! I recently received some advice to invest in rental properties in Seabring Florida. This advice was given by someone I have only met once and I don't presume we'll ever meet again, so I can't ask him for more info. I live in Philadelphia and I am completely new to real estate. I did a little research and saw some really cheap cute houses. The projected job growth is @ 30% in the next 10 yrs and the average home value went up $20,000 between 2000 and 2013. I still have more research to do but this is a part of that. I also plan on actually taking a visit before any decisions are made. Does anyone know anything about this area? Any suggestions on what else I should find out? It's about an hour out from Orlando and other popular destinations in Florida. Thanks in advance! Carolyn

Thank you guys so much! I will definitely check that out. I really want to meet people that I can learn from. Obviously joining BP was a good start! Thanks again!

Thank you all so much! Wow I feel so welcomed...thank you! I actually do have a question.. I have been searching for a REIA in Philly and I cannot find one for the life of me, is there one in Philadelphia? It seems like it would have to be but the closest one I have found is in South Jersey. I will check out the meetups you have suggested @Kelly Bochna, thank you. Thank you everybody, I feel the love! xoxo

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Carolyn and I'm completely new to investing but I am looking to do my first wholesale deal in the next few months (thats how long I'm giving myself, you can't research forever, gotta take the leap). I will be working in the Philadelphia area and just looking to meet new people that have the same interests. I want to learn all I can from the vets and make some connetions. I do not have anyone in my life that I can learn from as far as investing so here I am!

I am new to wholesaling and also in Philly! Thank you Bill for your frank answer to that question because I have been worrying more about setting up a buyer than anything else. I guess there is no reward without a little risk.
