Post: Seasonal Rental in Marshfield, MA

I am looking to rent out a 2+ bedroom cottage this summer in Marshfield. Is there a standard seasonal vacation agreement for MA and any critical laws that I need to know about before I start renting?

I do have the Short-term or Rental Exemption Notification form.

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

It's great to here that your direct marketing is working. What letter type are you using from yellowletters.com.

I am looking at sending out my first batch and was looking at yellowletter.com.

Keep up the good work!

Carol

I agree with Dawn, but also look at your financing.

I went through the first time home buyers program in MA, but found out afterwards that there are a lot of options, which some were better than the Massachusetts First Time Home buyers program.

I have lived in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts (currently living in Haverhill, MA). I can’t imagine living anywhere else; I love the 4 seasons and being outside.

Hi Morenike,

Welcome. You may want to look at this site www.affordablerealestateinvestments.com

as she invests in VA and also provides mentoring and she is also on BP.

Good Luck,

I drove a Ford Thunder Bird for the longest time and my friends and kids would tease me because to get into the car you needed to crawl through the windows. The car was safe to drive just the door hinges were going and I needed to prevent more wear and tear to the hinges; I was saving for my first house.

Today I still drive a used car (all the doors work) and I now own a multi-family and I’m working towards my next real estate investment.

I watched a webinar by Ocean City - Tom Cafarella about the Everett Casino. I don't see the podcast listed any more on www.BostonRealEsateJournal.com, but maybe he can send you a copy of the webinar.

I am still trying to determine if I should buy property in the area and will keep you updated if I come across anything new.
