I have been reading BP forums non stop, listening to podcast, reading books, talking to others. I haven't had the chance to attend a reia meeting, but I will Feb 2nd.  I still don't know if I'm quite ready financially. Meaning I don't have a huge savings.(about 2000). How do I know when it's time to take the leap?  What is best way for me to get started being that I have about 2000 to start with?

Good luck.

I am new to real estate investing. I am in the beginning stages as if I were learning a new language. I am taking baby steps, but ready to take action. I have began by learning from reading the forums here and other books. What is some tips/advice for me for my first deal. I have little money to get started, but I am willing to put in the work and learn. I am in San Antonio TX. Where would be the best place for me to look for a mentor who will not charge me an arm and a leg. I went to a seminar/meeting by Phil Grove and considering his 3 day training, but I would like to meet an actual investor who is active here in the local market. Please, any guidance or advice would greatly be appreciated.

 Hey Tim!

I am very new to investing. I'd like to find out more about meet ups in San Antonio. I attended a seminar by Phil Grove, not sure if you know him. I'd like to actually meet up with people who are investing not just pitching there training for sale. Any ideas where I should start?
