@Jim Peterson any updates on how this project went for you? Were you able to get started or did you drop the modular 4plex project altogether? I'm very interested how it worked out for you and would like to learn from your experience for future reference.

@Sean McKenna Thank you for sharing your experiences as I find learning from others the best advice to move forward with.. although the **** situation I hope to never encounter. Did you find working with a 203k Consultant difficult as well? Or just the lender?

@Paul Welden Thank you for sharing the different individuals who will be involved and how they all need to be 203k experienced. I definitely need to do a little more research on future prospective team members. Thank you again.

I'm new to REI and I have on okay credit score and my wife has a real good score. Should I look into 203k loans to get my first rental property? Has anyone had any experience with a 203k loan? Help please. Thanks.

I'm planning on moving to Pompano Beach and I'm just beginning my research.. any advice? Thanks.

My wife and I are moving to Pompano Beach in 6 to 9 months. My wife was adamant about renting in hopes to return to California after 1 year. However, this is a company move and I realistically expect to be staying in Florida for 2 to 5 years at the least. I think we should buy and try to open up our options to earn some value if/when we return to California. We have a local agent there but can you please give me any advice on Florida real estate, should I buy a fully updated house or go for a minor fixer upper that needs updates adding value to the home for a possible rental property? What kind of rules should i be using for better results in this area? Thank you in advance.

The newbie hopeful,

Carlos
