If your fishing for Tuscaloosa wholesalers, I haven't had much luck in that regard. As for the mls, I have been keeping up with all the small multi-family listings for over a year without anything that fits my criteria. Most are either what I would consider D to F areas, or near campus and are ridiculously over priced.

Here I am, a month or two away from finishing with my first flip, and I have a chance to go ahead and put the thing under contract. Is it wise? What are some of the pros and cons?

All of the research I have done talks about how wholesalers connect with cash buyers, but not new cash buyers connecting with local wholesalers. Im new and and in the investor phase of getting to know my market by analyzing deal after deal from the MLS. I am looking to connect with local wholesalers in my area, Tuscaloosa County and possibly Birmingham.

Hey guys, I really wasn't expecting so many responses that fast, I guess this is the place to be for us real estate investors.  I do remember you drew and I saw your profile a couple days ago and was wondering if it was the same guy from County High.  Yea I would love to come to a meet, I have been talking the ears off my friends and family and they kinda just give back a blank look. 

Recently I spent a great deal of time talking with my grandfather, we talked about his family, Jaycees, how he met President Eisenhower in a bathroom urinal, but what we talked about most was his career in real estate investing. I was inspired, and became truly motivated for the first time in my life. Almost every waking hour not spent with my wife and child has become devoted to learning everything I can. With my background in mathematical analytics and my work in renovating homes, I feel well prepared to break into the world of real estate.
