It's summertime and the time for Brew City REI Pop up events at fellow members' projects.

We’re excited to announce our first pop up of the season June 27th, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Lisa Loesel’s latest project.

Come tour and learn more about how this 5000 sq ft mixed commercial space was updated and converted. The lower level is a Romanesque Revival Miller Brewery Tavern that will be used as a game room/event space. The upper unit is 2 levels, 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms with incredible views from the rooftop patio.

The property had renters and in January of 2022 who turned off the heat and left town, which resulted in a burst pipe and close to $200,000 worth of water damage. The owner took that opportunity to convert this to a short-term rental. Everything has been tailored to make it a functional STR including installing a custom bunk room, 2 sets of washers & dryers, & a cool bar made from a steel sliding door that was already at the property.

As far as tips on building capital for a downpayment--maybe get your real estate license? wholesale? do some odd jobs--plenty of contractors are looking for help...start a lawn care business (extremely popular right now), work for a company that's involved with real estate such as a property manager, title company or hard money company (F-Street is often hiring) or a real estate investment company?
