I have been offered a scholarship to go to graduate school in Europe. My bachelors degree is in business administration. I just graduated in May with a 3.15 gpa. I originally planned on getting an MBA in after I gained a few years of work experience. This universities MBA program requires 3 years of work experience so I wouldn't be accepted. I have been accepted to the Financial Management program though. I want to be able to find a job where I can make good money. I would save up money and use that money in real estate. Do you think Financial Management would be a good masters degree to get? Good job outlook, prospects and opportunities?

Thank you for the responses.

Craig Jennings- The reason I want to get a masters degree is because I've been offered to go for free, so I can't turn that down. I originally planned on getting an MBA but this college requires 5 years work experience to get accepted into the program.

Dev Horn- As of this moment I'm more interested in Finance. But I have no real work experience to base this off, just more into stocks, investing, $$ and numbers. My tastes tend to change often so I'm just doing my research.

Luke Ward- Could you give some rough estimates on salary for a masters in finance. I have no work experience, I know I wouldn't be making big bucks right away. But what could I realistically expect to make a year right away? How about in 10 years?

Brandon Turner- I was thinking the opposite. But like you, pure speculation!

Which degree would provide better job outlook and higher pay in the years to come?

Thanks for the advice. Coming out of high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was offered a full scholarship from a small college with few majors and chose business administration because it would give me many options. I might go on to get an MBA, but employers and the MBA programs want you to have 3+ years of work experience before you do that.

I know that these types of jobs are paid salary but I meant if it was possible to make a lot of money working an hourly job(with overtime pay) I would be willing to do that.

No I got the point and thanks for the advice Tom. I can find a job no problem. But I want to find a job that I will be able to make good money at.

You're right. Maybe I'll just work for free.

I just graduated from college with a bachelor's in business administration. I want to find a job that will pay me a lot of money, even if I have to work 90 hours/week. I want to work like crazy for a few years so I can afford to invest in real estate and make some easy money each month. After that point I would slow down and would like to eventually work for myself. What are some jobs I should look into? I'm willing to relocate anywhere, even willing to do work that doesn't involve my degree. I'm just looking to save up as much as possible for a few years, any advice?

I live in a small town with very few apartment buildings. Apartments are hard to find because there are so few of them around here. Apartment buildings never go for sale because they are cash cows. I want to build a 4 unit apartment building. I have construction experience but no experience running the show. I am going to do this using cash. Building costs are relatively cheap here, it is a pretty rural area. How do I go about calculating building costs?

Jon Holdman Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

In my area houses will sit for a long time before they sell. How do these people flip 20+ houses per year while waiting for properties to sell?
