Thank you so much for the welcome and the advice. I have already read the Ultimate Beginner's Guide as well as some of the links that it contained. I found it to be extremely useful and feel I will referencing it for some time to come.
For over ten years whenever the question of what I would do if I won the lottery I've always had the same answer. I would first buy rental properties even before going to Disney. When I read the Guide and saw the lottery question referenced it felt right despite my fears. I'm extremely unlikely to win the lottery. I think I've played maybe five times during that time frame. I don't like the odds.
Another route is clearly needed and I've worked hard to overcome debt problems of the past. The information I've already seen has shown me that I am currently able to get started. There is much to learn but I am so excited to have a place and people that are helping me begin.
