@Russell Brazil

That’s impressive. I need to be more consistent in spending a few hours a day on here. Still get in at least once a day though.:)

@Joe Villeneuve

Unfortunately I feel as though most modern school doesn’t really teach us to learn. It teaches us to store information short term, sure. But how much do you remember from school? And what good is most of it? I barely remember topics I got A’s on from last semester in high school. People don’t retain knowledge they don’t use. I certainly don’t feel that school is pointless, but I think if you are paying for a college education they could definitely trim the fat and put a little more focus on your selected major earlier on.

This is super motivating to see and hear about Aaron! I’m 17 and just getting started and I have a feeling I’ll be seeing you posting your successes on here for a long time:) Best of luck to you, man.

@Hunter Robertson

Build a little rapport first and hear them out before asking about price. People really just want to be heard out at the end of the day. Also, make them give you their price first. Always. Then make sure to lead in with a “You aren’t going to like this, it’s gonna be lower than you expected” etc. before listing your price range, they will expect the worst and your offer, even if low, will likely be higher than the “worst” they expected, giving them a little rush of relief which can be powerful. Be energetic and make sure to use good tonality throughout. Best of luck!

@Sohrab Ansari

He says it’s easier for him, but remember, it’s your property. You’re paying him. If you have doubts or concerns, address them or find a new property manager. You want competent, trustworthy people working with you/for you.

@Andrej Petrovski

That’s incredibly impressive and is something I hope to emulate once I get started. I’d love to ask you a few questions (Just over some of the steps you took and what you learned) over PM if you’d be okay with that? Thanks man and nice work!:)

@Paul Thompson

Hey Paul! Thanks the response. I will be attending the REI meetup and I look forward to meeting you. Airbnb would be cool, I've heard some people mention it on a few podcasts I've listened to. I'd love to attend the class as well and I'll be sure to ask about it at the meetup. Thanks again and looking forward to it!

@Alexis Bliss

Thanks Alexis! Definitely appreciate the response and advice. I'm planning on househacking while in college with an FHA loan. Would this be a good start? Thanks again.

@Jordan Thibodeau

Wow. This is one of the most helpful replies I've gotten so far! The link you sent me to your writing was incredibly insightful and I love the way you broke down social capital into an easy to follow equation. Also loved what you said about givers, reminded me of something I heard Gary Vaynerchuk say that about how the best people who form great relationships give with no expectations or agenda. They give to give. Definitely going to download your connection tracker and give a try. I can where it could become very helpful. Thanks for your reply and the very helpful linked blogpost and I look forward to implementing these things at my local REI meetup!

@Jordan Callaway

Thanks for the advice man. I’ve bought and read a few of the BiggerPockets books already and they were very valuable and insightful.
