Curious if anyone else has any insights into this, a solution that would work for all shipping companies as well.

Hello, I'm looking for some HVAC work done in Montgomery County, Maryland in a wine production facility. The air handling unit comes down to the ground and takes up floor space that we are trying to free up and utilize, so we'd like to have the unit raised off the ground and closer towards the ceiling. We are located in Poolesville, MD.  Please message me through biggerpockets if this is something you can give me a quote on.

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks! That's great information, you're absolutely right. I called the MoCo Department of Permitting and they sent me over some literature about accessory apartments and all the requirements so it's a great first step to figure out what our costs might look to get up to code.

Hey everyone! My wife and I currently live in Washington, DC and are looking to find a great property to house hack. We're mainly looking in the Montgomery County, Maryland area and are ideally looking for a single family home that's been converted to a basement apartment.

I am currently trying to read up as much as possible about permitting and occupancy to make sure I'm following all the laws for the requirements for a basement apartment and any info would be appreciated! We're getting close to making an offer on 3 homes in Montgomery County but if you have any leads or opportunities you'd like to share, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks everyone!
