Hi All,

I want to get my Realtor's License but I am here to ask my fellow bp members what is the best way to go about it...? I have noticed there is a lot of online courses from many different sources as well as other ways.. and well, I am a bit overwhelmed about which is the best route to take. Can anyone recommend a good course or website? Anyone who has been down this road, your words of wisdom are much appreciated!!

they both sound like good deals to me haha. I think you got the better deal with the latter property, unless you can line someone up to buy the 12k property from you asap. I think you'd be better off wholesaling it though... especially since you're going to be busy with your first property. I think for you, being a first time investor, buying two properties could be a little overwhelming and distracting. You should focus on just one.

I thought this video was hilarious... reason being because right now I am helping my brother rehab a house. Me and my buddy recently got on his case (in a joking way) about not turning much of a profit on his last place. Then we when told him he needed to put in better appliances to the kitchen, he responded the same way as darth vader does in this video.

effing excellent post!!

That is what I love about Real Estate.... so much of its general rules apply to life in general. Becoming an REI has helped me in so many different aspects of my life than I ever imagined. Just to mention a few it has helped me enormously with

-Getting out of my comfort zone
-money management
-organization
-motivation

.... I could seriously go on and on.. but this is the only job i have ever had that has made me a better person. Almost everything REI requires.. it requires you first to get your life in order. I owe so much to it.

entrepreneurs should be given a lot more credit as well because not only is it very difficult and takes a high amount of skill to be successful at.. it also takes the most courage of self-awareness of any job I can think of.

Michael, I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately most people seek their peers approval.. and society doesn't look to kindly upon the guy who lives below his means. Most people want the attention and "so-called" respect that comes along with having nice things. It makes them feel important.. and successful.

Nice story Mike.. how sweet are those deals?! lol.. I recently got a guy to sell me his house worth $60k house for $20 because his wife died and he wanted to move back to Oklahoma. The reason he gave it to me rather than someone else.. because every other day when I go buy a loaf of bread or whatever at the store he works at, I smile and say hello to him, and have a brief conversation usually. He knew I was an REI, and I was the first person that came to his mind he said. This deal has really made me see how profitable networking can be....
