@Antonio Chasten

Do you go through the Justice of the Peace courthouse to find these leads or some other source within the county ranks? I'm interested in this technique and putting in the effort to build the list but need a little guidance when it comes to the proper office to contact.

Hi everyone,

My name is Brian. I live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and am beginning my investing journey. I became interested in real estate investing about one year ago after reading Kiyosaki's - Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Since then I began researching the topic and came across Bigger Pockets.

I joined the DFW REI Club about a month ago. My experience there has been great and everyone seems willing to openly share knowledge and experiences. I'm hoping that Bigger Pockets will provide opportunities to meet and network with other investors along with being a fine resource for knowledge and learning.

I have not done any deals yet, but my goal is to purchase my first property by April 2014. I'm interested in small multi-family properties in the 2-4 unit range. I also want to invest while holding my full time job.

I'm here to learn and am excited about the challenges that lie ahead.
