Post: Need advice on AirBNB tiny home on a lake

I am going to look at a property this weekend out on the lake. It is a tiny home and doesn't have a title. I want to purchase the property and AirBNB it out. I am in Texas and have never AirBNBed a property so I'm not sure how it works, what type of insurances I will need, or if I need a title for it. If anyone has any advice or experience on this subject I would greatly appreciate it!

Hello everyone! I am hoping to start a thread on the local housing market in our specific area. I am a newbie investor in the Longview/Kilgore (possibly Tyler area) and am hoping to find some trends in the area. I am aware that ALL markets are hot right now, but is ours hotter than the average market? Are rental rates climbing and at what rate? What is the average cost of a 2/1, 2/2, 3/1, 3/2, etc., rental in Kilgore and what about Longview? What do you guys predict for our area? Any comments about the current and future East Texas market would be greatly appreciated. I am also wanting to network with fellow investors in the area!

@Patrick Bartlett yee sir, there are very minimal multi's in the area! I never thought of a garage conversion, but do you think it would be worth having patience for one or do they rarely become avaliable?

@Jason Shackleton yes sir this is very helpful! To make it a legal duplex, I'm assuming I would go through the county to find out what proper permits I would need to file?

Hi guys! The wife and I just received our TBD approval for an FHA loan (praise God)! We are looking to househack something. Just wondering if you guys have any tips, advice, or strategies that we should know moving forward? As I'm sure you all know, the market is tough and finding multi unit properties for sale with a vacancy is not going to be easy. Any advice is highly appreciated. We are in the East Texas market looking near Longview, Kilgore, Tyler area!
