Aloha BP community,

I will be relocating from Hawaii to Sacramento early next year and will be looking to purchase a multi with my VA loan. Any suggestions on where to look/buy in the greater Sacramento area? I would prefer close to the airport as I will be working there 5 days a week, but it definitely doesn't have to be. This would be my first attempt at real estate investing.

Also, I’d love to meet with people in the area so any info on that would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo in advance!

@Phillip Dwyer aloha Phillip, thank you for the advice. I did take a look at hud.gov regarding the new FHA policy, do you know of any condos that qualify under the new rule? In the green valley area?

He pays about $1100/mo with now. I believe he'd like to stay in that rent range. Possibly a little more is do-able.
