Hey Brian,

My wife and I are starting to market to expired listings and came across this BP post, very useful information! I tried clicking on the links that you shared but they seem to be broken, is there any way you could repost them?

Thanks,

Bryce

My wife and I recently started to invest in real estate in the Atlanta area. We've gone to a few REIA meetings and have met a few wholesalers, but we're primarily marketing to motivated sellers ourselves and have had pretty good success doing so. So far, we haven't taken on any deals from wholesalers though.

J Scott, you mentioned that you never really had any luck working with wholesalers, but I was wondering if you've had any experience working with wholesalers that are affiliated with either the Georgia or Atlanta REIAs? I would venture to guess that their reputation as a wholesaler within the REIA would be quickly tarnished if their deals weren't of any interest to local investors but I really can't speak too much as we haven't branched out our marketing in that direction...

Has anybody else had any experience working with wholesalers that are affiliated with REIAs?

Thanks for all of the suggestions @J. Martin. I haven't taken the time yet to read through the beginners guide but I have glanced it through it and man is it packed with great information! I love that everything is linked to relevant posts on BiggerPockets. Everything BP related seems to flow together so well!

Thanks @Michaela Graham for your suggestions as well. We'll keep the Big Picture in mind moving forward!

Thanks Kevin! Glad to hear that there are other physicists in this business. Does this professor happen to teach at Georgia Tech? I may very well know him or have taken a class with him.

As for the Christmas Party, we're already signed up! Perhaps we'll bump into each other at the event!

Cheers

Hey Fellow Investors!

My wife Julianne and I wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves to the BiggerPockets community! We just got started in this wonderful business about a month ago and, while we haven't got our first propery under contract yet, we are on the "Hustle" and more excited than ever about jumping into real estate!

To give you all a brief bio, we are both 3rd year graduate students at Georgia Tech studing physics and chemistry. And yes, this means that we are both "analyzers" and can be subject to that good-ol' analysic paralysis; however, we also view this as a strength in real estate because when it comes down to it, it's all about the numbers in the end. As a married couple, we compliment each other with our own individual strengths, and weakinesses, and hope to continue to grow and develop our business with the help of other BiggerPockets members.

We are currently focused on wholesaling properties to help build some capital so that we can transition into lease-optioning properties to establish sources of passive invomce that willl at least replace our current income. As I mentioned, we're both new to this business and would love any support, wisdom, and guidence as to how we can move forward and establish ourselves in the Atlanta area. If you live in Atlanta, please introduce yourself, we'd love to meet local investors! We also recently joined the Altanta REIA and I'm sure that there are at least some BiggerPockets members who we'll bump into there.

And lastly, thanks Josh and Brandon for kick-starting such a fantastic resource and community of like minded investors! We love your weekly podcasts, they are always entertaining and informative!

Looking forward to the great adventures ahead of us!

Awesome! I'm all for keeping my inbox my organized, definitely a great addition to an already fantastic website. Keep it up guys! Thanks for everything you do for the BiggerPockets community!
