Thank you all for the feed back, I really appreciate it. And congrats on the deal making!!! I feel so much vicarious excitement for you all. Follow up questions: Derek Tyler what do you mean by "your people"? Can you please expound, this sounds like vital information that I haven't heard before. Does it involve a contractor and realtor that @Jacob Allen mentioned? How do you go about find people if you don't already have connections. Perhaps you guys can tag team this compound question. Thank you :D

Hey BPers, Newbie Brittney here, I have a quick question. I've recently decided that I want to get into REI and I want to get into the action ASAP. I wanna know how long did it take you to do your first deal? From the pre-contemplation phase, to getting yourself educated, then finally jumping out there and making the deal. Which step took the longest? Do you feel like your timing was right? I kinda want to gauge how long I should take, what's too ambitious and what's realistic.

@Fred Makaye and @Andrew Herrig I have so much vision for that area it's crazy. I am definitely shooting for the stars, and if I don't hit the galaxies at least I'll make a butt load of mula along the way. I'm pumped. To be forthcoming with you guys I've never had this much excitement and passion for anything, I am so optimistic!!!

@Alexander Bustos I look forward to seeing you there.

Aaron Yates thank you so much for the warm welcome and the tip! I will definitely put it into action! Paul Timmins Thank you! Everyone recommends that book, I can't wait to dive into it to see what's in store!

Hello All! First and foremost I want to express my sheer excitement for being apart of the community! I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to my dreams! (Cha Ching- "Can I get a hot tub?!?", dolla, dolla bill y'all.) As mentioned on my profile I am an extreme novice, at this point I am just trying to soak up all the knowledge I can and then jump in head first! My ultimate goal is to be a strong influence on revamping the South Dallas/ Fair park area, and the Parkrow areas namely. I want to do this by using a number of methods from fix-flipping to renting properties. I even want to get into the commercial real estate side of it as well, so I can holistically and diversely have a positive impact on the economic development of this community. There is so much potential for this area, and what sparked my interest is that it is so close to Deep Ellum, Downtown, and it has its own source of entertainment- Fair Park! I am so optimistic about my aspirations and I look forward to sharing my goals and ultimate successes with the connections I build on BP!
