The downstairs tenant always complains about excessive noise from the upper unit. Last night there was a disturbance in the upper unit and the police were called at 3am. The tenant and her company was in the middle of the street arguing and fighting. The police showed up but because of COVID19 nothing happened. This is upstate NY. She is on a month to month lease but there are no eviction allowed at the moment. What can I do?

And yes.... this is my first property.

Hi everyone!

I’m currently looking for a maintenance person in the Syracuse, NY area. The shower in one of my units won’t shut off (smoothly) sometimes. I replaced the knob handle and placed a stem extension. The tenant calls at ungodly hours to about this issue. As soon as I get there I can turn it off with a wiggle or two but I need it fixed properly. Any guidance?

Recently closed on my first property and I put my unit on the market a few days ago but I’d like intake on 2 things:

1. renting to tenants with Section 8

2. renting to tenants with pets

ANY experience good or bad is welcomed

Can someone give me direction on a property.

3 unit property 90k won’t be ready until October with cash flow of 700 if I live in one unit. Down side is There’s an industrial lot across the street and it’s an off market verbal agreement.

2 unit for 60k outdated but the rehab would be 15k for simple touch ups. It’s ready to buy now. Better neighborhood. Cash flow 300 if I live in one unit.

I know the three unit has a higher cash flow but it won’t be ready until October and the two unit is ready now and in a better neighborhood.

Can I get guidance from a seasoned investor!

I have a potential property in Jacksonville. Any buyers there?
