Hi Everyone!

I am looking to get an overview of the Lansing, Mi real estate market. I am looking for a zip code and/or neighborhood breakdown for my single family and multi family investment property search. Any info on rental rates, expected return/cap rates, vacancy rates and specific blocks and/or neighborhoods to focus on is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again!

@ Kenneth E. - I have a few questions on building data lists. Are you still doing this?

I am looking for the data provider and sources to generate lists that identify areas where homes have been flipped in less than 1 year that were bought for x price and sold for x price. Does anyone have a template they follow for gathering data to build a target prospecting list?

I've never meant someone who regretted going to college. I see you're from Grand Rapids- what about this idea: https://www.gvsu.edu/economics/certificate-in-real-estate-68.htm I would also suggest trying to get into property management as you're interested in multi family. A great deal can be learned with a property management company servicing this niche. These jobs also pay a decent salary while you learn the ropes. Certifications and designations never hold you back: http://www.realtor.org/designations-and-certifications/cpm Don't downplay you work ethic or place of employment for 4 years- they both show excellent character. Be forewarned, in real estate like any other career there is NO get rich scheme. It's hard work and increasing your knowledge base. The more you learn - the more you earn. Good luck!
