@Ron S. thanks for the information! I’ll have to do that.

@Mark Fries that's the way that I am anyway. I've only known about REI for 2 months and have been reading and listening to everything that I can.

On another note, being that you’re a contractor, know of any reputable ones up around the East side of Cincinnati by any chance?

This is probably a dumb question, but when I hear on the podcast about “buying foreclosures on the courthouse steps” are they being pretty literal? How does one go about finding out about those?

Hello everyone from Batavia, OH. I'm just East of Cincinnati and fresh out of the gate. Have read Rich Dad/Poor Dad last month, which started making me ask questions. Have stumbled upon the Bigger Pockets podcast and website, and have ordered the BRRRR book off of amazon as well as a few others. Looking forward to learning alot, changing my families future, and having fun while doing it!!

Anthony, the only thing that's holding me back is a lack of knowledge.  I'm not the type to just run blindly into something without any kind of information about it first.  :)

Thanks for the reply! I figured that it would make sense to have an LLC, but I wasn't sure. And I never would have thought to have one for each property. And what is an S-Corp?

As of right now, my strategy will be single and multi family rentals.  Most likely here on the East-side of Cincinnati at first, since it's where I live.

Hello everyone! I just read Rich Dad, Poor Dad and recently started The Book on Rental Property Investing and I have a question. Should I create an LLC before buying my first property? I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't seen it answered in the books as of yet.
