We started out with nothing and have most of it left.  I cash-flowed our properties on contract(bought as one big lump) and paid for all repairs and getting 2 properties going out of my weekly paychecks while paying the mortgage amount at the same time.  We came from living off food stamps in a 2 bed/1 bath house that barely had heat to living in a 4 bed/2 bath house with 4 rentals.  While I'm still not able to do this full time, we're moving closer to that each and every day.  Still not "well off", but we're making it work day by day.

 I'm thinking that's gonna be where I'm going to be doing most of my research, just here in my home county, possibly surrounding counties if they're fairly close.

Husband and wife with rental properties in Brazil Indiana. I work full time as a truck driver and deal with rentals on weekends and on the go. Looking to expand from the 4 rentals we have now, next year sometime. Just looking to soak up some info and tips.

 @Dennis Weber:

Have you ever done any commissioner's sale purchases or looked into them? 120 day redemption period and I've known a few people to buy some good property for really cheap.
