Hi All,
Brian Cornick here, a 24 year old newby from Littleton, Colorado. I currently work as an auditor of private and public investment companies, which sparked my interest in the real estate industry. When I was discussing the topic of real estate investments with a longtime friend from the Chicagoland area, he suggested that I listen to the bigger pockets podcasts. For a new person interested in investing, the podcasts were a generous alternative to the various books that have been suggested and extremely helpful (looking at you Rich Dad, Poor Dad). In addition to reading books and bigger pockets podcasts, I found a local real estate investor who agreed to be my mentor. After only a few short months of talking with him, we partnered on a fix and flip in a very prestigious neighborhood in Centennial, Colorado (which hasn't gone according to plan, but is a great learning experience). I have also just closed on a single family home as a rental in Aurora, Colorado, and due to my mentor, was occupied the week after closing. I look forward to expanding my rental properties, as my current goal is to have between 5-10 rental houses within the next 10 years. The passive income and return on investment for a young entrepreneur is phenomenal and can't wait to learn more from my fellow investors.
