I am currently looking into the possibilities of investing in real estate with no previous experience. People have told me that it would be wise to get a real estate license to collect commission when selling our properties. Can anyone give me insight into this?

Hello to all

My name is Brian. I am located here in South Carolina and I'm looking to get into investing. As probably most of you did, I decided real estate would be a good option. My interest was sparked by reading the books, Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Richest Man in Babylon. I now have a hunger to be smart about my money and make it work for me. I have no experience in real estate other than my parents' brief, failed venture in investing during the big recession. I will be getting married in September and neither of us know much about real estate, so I'm attempting to spearhead our self education. I'm mainly looking to educate myself and my future wife as much as possible before making any big decisions. Looking forward to meeting like minded people and all that BP has to offer
