Post: Separate Bank Accounts for Rental Property

Hi all!

Was curious if anyone had an insight on to which bank/credit unions would be best to set up a separate bank account with? Hoping one has proven better rates for the future and just overall better for real estate investors.

My SFH rental prop is currently in Texas but wants to set up a separate account locally because hoping to do deals down here soon.

I've heard mixed reviews on SDCCU, Mission Fed, Cal Coast, etc., and am curious which one is best for real estate investors...

Thanks all!

Thanks Reid! I assumed it was just one-off lenders doing that but appreciate the Fannie/Freddie context. Still can't hurt to ask my lender!

Hi all!

I heard through the grapevine that mortgage banks are starting to lower the PMI requirement to 10% instead of 20% in order to combat the rising interest rates...? Wondering if there is any validity to this rumor.

I purchased in Boerne, TX with 15% down 4 months ago on a SFH rental prop and would love to see if I can get my PMI removed.

Any information proving/disproving would be great! And if it is true, would love to find out the best way to approach my lender to get this approved.

Thanks everyone!

Hi BP Community!

I am a new investor looking to get into the self-storage investing world. Before I get started I wanted to get some opinions on what you areas are showing a high demand for self storage. I am located in CA, so the closer the better. However, I am extremely flexible and willing to look out of state as well.

I would love to connect with anyone else who might be interested or is willing to offer some insight on this new journey!

Post: Best approach to find listings in Dallas Metro/Frisco

Hi all,

I am a former college athlete who worked hard to live frugally and save as much money as possible during my playing years from my scholarship checks.

I'm looking to buy an investment property in the Frisco area to rent and let appreciate as my first investment. I've searched around Redfin, Zillow, realtor, and other agent websites but was wondering what source shows the most listings and would be best to find a deal on a SFH that fits my interest.

In less words... where should I begin my search?

Anything helps and would love to connect and learn!
