@Tony S. Hi Tony. I currently use Rentec Direct with 20 units. It has everything I need and is affordable. Their customer service is excellent, but their platform just seems a little clunky to me. I wish I would have started out with Buildium because as I grow they have more features that I would really like, and switching is a pain.

@Aaron L Phillips

Welcome Aaron, I'm a local KC investor as well and looking to grow my portfolio and connect. I wish you the best, and let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in anyway. I live on the KS side, but all my portfolio for the most part is on the MO side.

All, I want to put out that I am signing up with a company called Latchel. I've done significant research on BP and haven't found anyone that responded to me with any feedback or that is currently using them. They are a startup company that coordinates all maintenance calls from tenants, and can dispatch your own contractors, or some from their network. Sounds like a great a solution, but I'm skeptical. I mainly am posting this for the keyword search in case anyone researches the same thing. I'm going to give them a chance, and if they can take the maintenance scheduling off my plate, I'll be their biggest fan.

@Jeff Galak Hi Jeff, ok thanks. I had a call with them and am thinking about turning over 20 of my units to them for their "premium" all maintenance type solution. I'm certainly apprehensive as I've never spoken to anyone that has used their service. Hopefully you won't need their services for a long time! Thanks Jeff.

@Scott Kelley Good luck with the progress!

All, I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience, both positive or negative, with maintenance coordination companies. Companies such as Latchel or Property Meld, or any other.

It seems like the coordination of maintenance calls/requests seems to be my biggest time commitment with my business, as I self-manage my properties. If anyone has any first hand experience I'd love to hear your feedback regarding using them.

Thanks.

Brent

@Jeff Galak Hey Jeff, curious if you decided to use the vendors you mentioned above. I heard about Latchel today and it sounds great, but would really like to hear how well they do from someone with experience using them.

@Erin Auman Hey Erin, I'm here in the OP / KC market as well. Happy to talk about your current properties and ways to use them to pull any equity out to scale your business, which is what I've done. Let me know how I can help.

@Idan Narotzki Hi Idan, I have several properties throughout Independence and that area can be a little touch and go. Normally I stick to south of Truman road as a general rule, except for very northeast out by 291. I’d have to see the actual block as that area is borderline. Not sure if that helps or not. I will say that my independence properties have by far been my highest performers of Mubarak portfolio.
