Hey all so I have few questions hopefully someone could answer so I am interested in REI but my current financial situation doesn’t match up with the goals that I want to accomplish I am 26 soon to be 27 working a full time job and also a part time job to pay down some of the debt that I have accrued thru out the years which now adds up to $19,000 and a voluntary repo that will be placed on my credit soon before that my score wasn’t bad in the 600’s so my question is what would be the best way to get myself in a better situation to start REI I know the first thing would be to pay down my debts the big and the small ones but is there anything I could do in the meantime instead of just feeling stagnant I already hate my job but it’s not about what I want to do right now it’s about what I have to do I’d also like to eventually go back to school to finish up business management and marketing but I also know that that is digging another hole financially. I’ve moved back home with family and everything but I just want to feel like I’m getting some where even if it’s a small step please any advice would be appreciated

Dave VanDommelen will themeetups only be during the week? The date and time frame conflicts with my work schedule and I'd love to attend one and network.I am a newbie to the REI community and any valuable information I can get would be great. Will you all be setting up something on possibly a Friday or Saturday afternoon for those who can not attend the ones during the early part of the week? If not I wouldn't mind setting up something it seems that the South Carolina thread has ran a little dry so anything I can do to possibly reach out to other new investors etc I wouldn't mind I just need some feedback as to what is going on in the area. Thanks!

@ J Scott would you say that FTF flip is a good route to go for newbie investors or do they only work with seasoned investors? I am in the middle of reading your book and I am trying to figure out where I could get some financing from for my first flip any input that you have would be great! Thanks
Hello All my name is Brelyn i am a newbie with the whole real estate/investing business and I have no idea where to start! I have been browsing the forum listening to podcast but I feel it's so much it's overwhelming. My ultimate goal is to flip a house and get a little money to pay off some bills and eventually get into real estate/ house flipping full time .I am 25 with fairly good credit and and just looking for a way to have money for the future without depending on a dead end job thanks any advice would help out greatly. I've already begun in the beginners section of BP and read went thru the free slid show and a few other materials just looking for someone local that may have a bit more insite on my area thanks any advice would be appreciated!
