I have a client that is interested in purchasing a property in the Columbus, Ohio area that is zoned residential, however, it had a conditional use permit. This property is a former auto shop, however, he has no intention of using it as a commercial space to sell services or products. Does anyone have any recommendations on a local lender that would lend on a property like this? He previously applied for a traditional home loan and was denied because it does not meet the secondary market requirements. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

With the city expanding and more businesses coming to Columbus now is a great time to get into the rental property market. Nimi, Aside from the rents, something to keep in mind when looking at condos for future rental property is to review the Condo Bylaws. They may not allow you to turn it into a rental.
