@Michael Bertsch. Regardless of what the law is, the courteous thing to do would be to give a little notice. 24 hours might not even be needed to appease your tenants. I’ve owned and rented throughout my life so I have a good perspective from the tenants point of view as well as the land lord trying to do proper upkeep. I have to point out ethics and laws do not always match up in my opinion. If your looking to do only what’s legal I’m sure it’s written somewhere in your state laws. In which case other peoples personal opinion would not even matter. If your looking for the proper ethical choice and you want to be a nice guy, give notice. Even it’s it’s 2 hours, it’s better than nothing from the tenants point of view. If giving a 24 hour notice Keeps your tenants comfortable, it seems like a simple solution for healthy future relationships.

@Jaron Smith. With my limited experience I would suggest against replacing that stone siding. A friend of mine had some issues with leaks from a bad install of some stone siding. If there is leak issues. I’d say go for it. If not, personally I’d save some money and put it somewhere more crucial. Personally I think the stone siding looks kinda cool. Not the stone I’d pick, but I like that style and if your going for a resale you might find someone else who likes it also. Plus, I Feel vinal siding is really common and kinda played out. Hope that helps! Im not trying to offend by any means. I’ve taken on lots of projects that I realized I could have avoided for better profit potential in the past. -Brandon
