@Sean McDonnell Thank you sir!  LOVE spending time out your way.  Could definitely see coastal living (and potentially investing) in my future.  Will let you know if/when I make it down!

@Phillip Bradrick thank you for the great advice.  I actually live in Mount Airy, NC which is another rural type market similar to Eden potentially.  Definitely not opposed to the right deal locally as well just a little less inventory to work with. Fine tuning my criteria is a solid callout.  It can be a bit overwhelming listening to the podcasts and hearing so many different strategies and approaches at seem to work!

@Aaron Belt Thank you and I 100% agree!  Very cool that you are involved with Land Academy.  Vacant Land investing and wholesaling have been of particular interest for some time given lower costs of entry, etc. I have followed Seth and REtipster as well.  Have you ever invested in land in or around NC?

@Tyler Lowe Thank you for reaching out and for the invite! The response to my first post has been amazing. Based on your post/advice I have just registered on the Piedmont Triad REIA website! While I'm not sure I will be able to make it this week I am definitely interested in attending an upcoming Lunch and Learn. The January session on Direct Mail Marketing is of particular interest. Look forward to connecting!

@Alexander Felice really appreciate your reply and offer.  Did you relocate from LV to Fayetteville? I remember you were in the military and wondered if that is what drew you to that area.  Looks like you've been able to transform some local properties in into solid rentals, etc. which is awesome.  Would love to connect.

@Dawn Brenengen thank you so much for the insight and advice.  Totally agree that a meet-up would be a fantastic idea.  I will try to figure out when the next few are scheduled.  In the meantime would love your POV on the best BP resources to check out as I take my real estate journey to the next level.  Podcast Episode #101 will be the next one I listen to!

@Stephen Diakos very nice to meet you!  Sounds like we have really similar goals in mind.  Would love to potentially connect some time to discuss your experience so far in the Triad as an investor and realtor.  Lewisville in particular has definitely caught my eye given how the amount of construction, etc. in recent years.

Hello Everyone,

Hope all is well.

My name is Brandon and I am excited to make the leap from avid BP podcast listener and reader to Real Estate investor! Many of your stories have inspired me and I look forward to continuing to learn and contribute to your success as well!

A little bit about me....

I currently reside in North Carolina where I was also born and raised. After receiving my MBA at Wake Forest we settled down in the Winston Salem area.  Given my experience and knowledge of the Piedmont Triad this is where I hope to launch my initial investing plans.  Also being drawn to the Fayetteville NC area given prices, etc. Would love your perspective on one vs. another for a beginner.

I'm currently a corporate marketing professional with a longtime passion for real estate.  I've also completed the NC Broker course and class exam although I elected not to pursue my license at this point.  I've actually sold our 1st home myself and am preparing to sell my 2nd soon as we have realized nearly a really solid equity gain in just a couple of years.

Ultimately my goal is to estalish a passive income producing portfolio focused on SFH and small multifamily properties. While I have some initial capital I am interested in exploring wholesaling as a way to fund deals (super inspired by Josiah Pott's story on episode 346).

I look forward to getting to know as many people in and around the Carolinas as I can! Definitely have a lot to learn as I dive in and hope to leverage my marketing and analytics training to help you however I can!

    Best Regards,

    Brandon
