Hey folks, I've done my traditional banking with a local CU, but when I was checking on rates for savings accounts I realized they probably won't meet my needs for the new business. Anyone have suggestions on lenders that work with investors as well as suggestions on higher rate savings accounts where you keep your capital when not invested?

Thanks @Mike S.! I'm hoping to get a tri or even a 4 Plex. I'll just assume I'll move forward under my name and look at setting up a series LLC as well for future investments. Maybe at some point move it over if that can be done.

Evan, can you go a little deeper? I have the same question and every gook I've read says to get an LLC, but several people here have said do it under you own name. How do you protect yourself in this case? Do you move the property later? Also, does It matter if you are putting 20% down, does it help get financing when doing an LLC? I guess I'm looking for a clear path/strategy to move forward.

Hello, I'm curious as to how everyone built out their team. I'm looking for a broker, attorney, and management company. I've been putting away capitol for quite some time and now ready to jump in the game. I'd like to find my team who's hungry, knowledgeable but not at the top of the price structure, folks who are willing to grow with me. How are you narrowing down your search? Any suggestions on where to start?

If we just hold them in our name doesn't that open us to liabilities.

Hello, I have a quick question. My wife and I are wanting to start investing in rental properties. We both have high income jobs. She has two kids and claims the house and head of household because of her kids. I have zero tax deductions currently. We keep seperate finances. How should we start out? Should we set up two seperate businesses? Should we invest together? Any particular strategy give us more tax advantages?
