Conor Hesch Thanks a lot for the advice. Your situation Sounds very much like what I hope to accomplish! 3% down on a conventional loan ?!! Wow I really need to look into that, sounds like the way to go!

Peter MacKercher First off thanks a lot for the insight! I really appreciate it. To answer some of your questions, as far as financing I was looking into obtaining an FHA loan for this investment. I've been doing some research on areas such as south city, university city and soulard as some potential areas to invest in but was really unsure of where would be a great destination. I will be living by myself so their would be no issues with that. Furthermore I would love to talk about any and everything real estate and my goals moving forward. What would be the best way to reach you ?

Greeting BiggerPockets Family, I am a looking to purchase my first real estate investment property this year and was wondering, what the best neighborhood in St. Louis was for investment properties. This first property I wanted to "house hack" but was unsure of what areas I should start looking for potential leads? If anyone who knows the St.Louis market could give me some tips on where to start my journey I would greatly appreciate it thanks in advance !!

Greetings,

I am an aspiring real estate investor living in St. Louis Missouri. My goal is to purchase my first investment property  this year using the "house  hacking" technique!

Through BiggerPockets i would love to connect with an FHA lender/agent that is investor friendly and familiar with the St. Louis market, as well as broaden my knowledge of real estate.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
