Thank you.  I did not know that about Redfin.  I will sign-up today.  Much appreciated.

Great feedback. Thank you. Is there one site that more accurately pegs the true market value like Zillow, Trulia, MLS, RedFin etc...?

Hoping to get some feedback on the most cost efficient and expedient way to compute an accurate ARV. I have access to MLS and can pull comps on my own, but buying houses in more rural areas is proving to be difficult with very few comps to compare to. Should I hire an appraiser each time and if so, would a drive-by appraisal suffice or do I need to pony-up $300 for each property I evaluate. This obviously takes time and somewhat costly. Is there a better way to get a fairly accurate ARV and/or as-is value?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Brad

Ken Edwards is a great real estate attorney in Raleigh if you are still looking.  He is with the firm Gwynn and Edwards and has handled my properties flawlessly for the past 10 years.

One more option for you...Ken Edwards at the firm Gwynn and Edwards.  I have used him for 10+ years for my rental purchases.

Thank you all for the kind and helpful feedback.  I am looking forward to making a go of this and the learning that will no doubt come with it.

Any insights on market nuances, tools and/or typical pitfalls for newbies would be welcomed.  Venturing out from rental homes to fixer-uppers and a bit out of my element.

Thanks,

Brad
